Keep us posted and see how it goes. I have my faith with DVDFab HD Decrypter (Platinum) that it will rip through this baby once it's out here in the US. I haven't seen this movie yet "Bangkok Dangerous", a remake version starring Nicholas Cage, but I've seen the original Bangkok Dangerous (Thailand version) and it is beautifully awesome with tons of gun actions.
I had success ripping the disc with dvdghost (it took 14 hours +), I then re-authored to movie only with dvdshrink, the movie was around 4.7gb it took very little compression. The movie transferred, burnt & played beautifully, but some of the extras (which I did not burn) did not play and were not accessible. My guess is a dvdfab upgrade will resolve those issues. The movie itself was an action spectacle, a nice showpiece for a good home theater.
I can also vouch that DVDFab and Anydvd will not back up this movie correctly. I guess I will wait for an update.
I'm sure if there's an issue with it, Fengtao and company will get it handled quickly. I'm looking forward to seeing this one.
I found a solution to Bangkok Dangerous if you have the latest AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 to make a full back up,you might be able to use this method with other programs but I'm not sure. In CloneDVD2 I had to deselect titles 20,23,24 and 25. Title 1 is the movie. So you all could try that.
Can you deselect any titles with other programs? I just put my back-up that I made into my computer and it's still showing the bogus titles that I listed earlier. Try and deselect titles 20-25.
No,but it would work with CloneDVD2. They are a bunch of bogus titles that run between 1hr40mins to 2hrs. That's why I'm letting people know that title 1 is the movie.
I used DVDghost by itself to rip the movie but it was slow,I also saw 4 main movies on the disc and yes title 1 was the good one, I used shrink for re-authoring.
i tried the new anydvd with the clone with no prevail. Im using nero 7 recode now jus the movie though. will get back with results.
Hi, has anyone tried anydvd 6502 in ripper mode only with devices set to slow and quiet for a full disc back up to the hard drive ? Jo
thumpy..Try using CloneDVD and just uncheck all the movies except the 1:39:11, also at the bottom uncheck all the blanks. U can do the same thing 4 movie only (one or more). Both of these worked 4 me. U must have AnyDVD 4 this to work
