wait for the 360 to come out, halo 1 and 2 will probably be compatible on the xbox 360, and since the xbox 360 u r going to buy is not banned then u can play online again, once u get it.
eeprom is usually only 5-10 dollars. You could try calling up MS and ask them to unbann you(good luck with that).
reagrdless of how much u sweet talk them....(belive me i tried it) they are required if u are banned for modding to send in ur box free of charge to visually confirim that u are not in fact modded....they check hardware and software.....if u uninstall everything and take everything modding off ur HD then send it in thats a different story and i would be interested to see what happens.
