omg wait do u mean the update has a ping timer that prevents use of XBconnect and Xlink? SHIT they are so cheap!!
no. he means quit bitching about it. its your fault. and dont post twice right behind each other, quote your quotes in one post and post one time. quit adding to your post count.
so far so good for me been on live for the past week and everything atm is good. no banning yet and i hope it stays that way !!
dont mean to burst your bubble paul but your going to get caught, everyone will. i havent been banned yet but i know its just a matter of time.
I doubt that later they gonna do like game update or something like that, then you cant play backups or downloaded games. Not sure but i m in doubt.
When and where has MS treated us like shit? you mean they banned people? yes and they had every right to do it. Nobody forced you to flash your machine. In any case YOU yourself are to blame, not MS or anyone else but yourself. So stop playing victim. And nobody is forcing anybody to buy an elite, 1) buy a cheap core if you want XBL that bad (and many have already) costs $299 max 2) don't care about XBL? you can play games offline fine. - costs nothing
I would have to agree although i would have stated it in a more polite manner. If you mod consoles, and like XBL you should have know the risks. Anyone who has had or did any research at all on modded Xbox 1 consoles would have known that this is a common MS trend. And i agree that they do have every right to do it. No matter how much you are aginst it. So if your modded your time will come. When and where no one knows. But it WILL happen. Personally it is a question of this. 1. pay MS $50 a year for XBL- NO 2. Play my games offline and save 10 times that much money- YES Everyone has their opinions on it. Mine is MS can suck it!
Just to clarify some differing opinions and "facts" that I've heard... This ban ONLY bans your console, your Xbox Live account can still be used on another box right? I'm planning to buy a used core console for cheap as my "LIVE" box just for the few games I like to play online and then keep my modded box for all other games.
Ok, the idea is to bann you off xbox live ONLY right?? because i have been banned, and i can not play my brothers console over lan? are they allowed to do this???
not sure, they may have disabled your Ethernet port on your console, i havent heard much about it to be honest.
i wudnt of thought theyd even be allowed to do this, i mean fair enough the bann of xbl but lan aswell!! the lan works to the extent that it detects when the other 360 is started but wen searching for games it wont find the games hosted, and worked like a treat before the ban
still not banned yet...could be becuase i havent been able to get onto live since college is been out though, lol. just a thought. hopefully this new FW will be able to stop the banning though. but im not looking foward to going back to school to get banned...
from what i have heard, just like with the Xbox 1 console banning. They ban your console ID. Meaning that Xbox Live can no longer be used on that console. If you were to buy another console that is not modded then you should still be able to access and use the current account. I mean that would be a big win for MS as you had to go spend another $300-$500 on a new set up, and of course buy a copy of the back up that you played online. Disabling the ethernet port is something i have not heard anything about. But anything is really possible i guess. Know one knows what they are capable of banning. They may be banning people from any kind of multi-player functions other than those that can be performed on the one console you have. I know they really put the boot to free online through system link programs with the ping timer on games. Is the lan where you are hooking two consoles up with a strait through cable? Or are you both accessing it through some kind of wireless home network?
Well this is my thinking might be this not right or might be correct theory. So please dont flame on me guys. They are checking your xbox360 through internet, and they are checking NAT if your NAT is strict then they are not gonna kick u,whenever they run the system check your isp not letting them to do system check, because 1 day ago i wasnt able to connect to xbox live then i ran the test then i saw my NAT was strict, but now its open again.Might be they are not running system check at the moment. I've got hitachi 46dh was flashed with 2.3 c4eva before spring update. Then i restored original state. After that i updated dashboard then i didnt went to live then i flashed my drive with c4eva 2.4 but now its again original state and i m playing Gow live everyday till now.I am still not banned yet. Metalgear from team-xecuter website wrote this. yea, they are blowing smoke up your but I spoke to a supervisor who was actually pretty cool he said it was embedded in the spring update, they somehow see the disk but not FW the guy also let slip ( i dunno fact or fiction) but he did say something about my router's NAT being OPEN, if it was strict they MAY not have caught me so fast again typical microsh1t Bull. but thats what he said http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45661&page=2
The LAN is connected up through my router, i also tried using a direct crossover cable and still no luck....?
Saturday morning I put in my copy of Crackdown went online and downloaded the Halo 3 beta with no problems at all. Remember now I was trying everything I could to get banned so I would have an excuse to buy an Elite so I did everything everyone else tried. Anyways I played Halo for about 30 minutes and got bored with it and logged off to play some other games with no problems at all in fact I played all night that night then I get up the next morning and play my games again periodically through out the day then at around 4:00 I decided to give Halo 3 another try and again I logged off after 30 minutes to play my other games and that is when I got banned. Now my brother has the exact same 360 as I did meaning the Samsung drive and the 5.3 firmware and he is still paying as we speak the only difference is he hasn’t touched the Halo 3 beta. Not sure if Halo 3 has anything to do with it or not. The way I look at it is lets say it was the Halo 3 that got me banned then I can assure you what ever they did will also be added to other games to catch the other perpetrators. I just thought I would share my experience. I now have an Elite and I am completely happy. For those that are upset that Microsoft finally caught on to what we were doing shame on you because you knew what the consequences were going to be if they happen to caught on to what people were doing but yet you still decided to do it anyways so you have nobody to blame but yourself. It was fun while it last but now its time to move on.
