Im a UK Banned Xbox 360 owner. First wave went out saying they were banned and i wasnt so was very happy! Then few days after, they banned me. So dont got your hopes up much. MS25 w/ 5.2 Xtreme Played Crackdown OFFLINE, never played online with it but i was signed in obviously. Never played/downloaded Halo 3 beta. Went onto Live BEFORE i flashed. Overall im not too miffed about the bannings, but my bro is lol. I just wish I went for the chip method now. Played backups offline and played originals online doesnt effect me tbh. Thats how i used to do it with the PS2 with a harddrive. However i take it there is NO hope for us with banned consoles? Thats the end of the line? TBH I aint got the cash to blow on another console like that and if i did, i would go for a PS3 just to have the greater variety. Sure Live is a good selling point for the XBOX, but not the only one and definatly not enough to get me buying one console dedicated for online gaming! Just my opinion though.
I have a Sammy ms-28 flashed with 5.3A. I've played Crackdown with the updates and downloaded and played the Halo 3 Beta and still not banned. Maybe I'm just living in danger? I did these steps however with the recent updates: Flashed 5.3A firmware BEFORE Spring Dashboard update. Then I updated Crackdown and downloaded the Halo beta. I specifically remember my release of Crackdown not being stealth patched and I manually added the DMI/PFI/Image and SS. I make sure ALL of my games are stealth patched before they go in my 360. I would like to know if banned users know for sure if their discs are patched. Also, did anyone read on Xbox Scene that MS may not be able to make the same checks with the Samsung ms28 drive as they do with the Hitachi-LG drives and others?
according to C4E you may be able to get back on. once you have the new xtreme online firmware, call ms, tell them you were banned for no reason at all, they will rescan your console and it will come back showing that you have legit firmware on your console and that all is good. if thats the case then they will unban you. simple as that. C4E even said that himself. so dont go around posting false info. Edit- They will unban you. if they have no proof at all that you have a modded drive they cant unjustly ban you. that will cause lawsuits because with no breach of contract on your end, if they breach a contract you can sue for millions. MS cant afford 1000's of people suing them for large sums of money.
Mike can you read in Spanish? if you could translate this for all of us here on AD...¿Así que cuando flasheemos la XBOX360 con Xtreme Online no podremos hacerlo con la alimentación de la consola? Correcto. O hacerlo con una consola ya baneada.
no i cant read enough spanish to translate it. i know some spanish but im not fluent in it, but google translator says " So when flasheemos the XBOX360 with Xtreme Online we will not be able to do it with the feeding of the console? " where did you get this infor so i can try to get a more accurate translation of it.
It says: "Then when we flash the XBOX 360 with Xtreme Online we won't be able to do so with the console's alimentation." Basically, C4E thinks that MS detected those consoles because they have been plugged in when we flashed them. Had we have used the computer's alimentation, MS wouldn't have detected the firmware update. He suggests that we should flash an unbanned console either with an external alimentation source or with an already banned console.
wait what? what are you saying? that we should take the drive out of the xbox we have and flash it with an old modded xbox that has been banned and then put it back in the xbox and it will be safe? they cant detect it?
Here is the english translation of the interview with c4eva this is from xbox scene enjoy Good night commodore4eva, is a dream to talk to you. Thank you very much. The users are asking if the old Xtreme copies will work with iXtreme. Xtreme Online will not take backups without stealth, only disc with stealth, PFI and DMI will run. Do you already know which is the real reason of the bans? The bans is a manual process, logs and logs are watched. It takes time. Manual? What is what they verify exactly? Many things. Timming and startings without reader, like when you flasheas the reader with the power supply of the console, and some more. So when we flash the XBOX360 with Xtreme Online we will not be able to do it with the power source of the console? Correct. Or to do it with a console already banned. On the other hand, will Xtreme Online will be completely secure? YES Does Xtreme Online will be available for Hitachi readers? YES Will also be available for the readers with firmware v79? All the Hitachi, including the 79, but still would be necessary to flash it via hardware. What happens with BenQ readers? The version for BenQ will be available after the others, almost all the work was finished before the bans began. Will be safe for the users to flash with Xtreme Online if they previously flash with others versions of Xtreme and they have not been banned? We do not know that, it could happen or it couldnt happen. It could be too late if the user is already in the logs. But when the drive is flashed with Xtreme Online, it would be possible to called Microsoft complaining that the ban was not justified so they dont banned you console and there is no need to buy a new one. So thanks to Xtreme Online we have a little hope for the ban to be removed? Aparently yes they reescan the console if you complain to the SAT. Briefly, how does the Xtreme Online works? Xtreme Online will emulate the exact speed and timings of the original games, and will protect the users to execute backups without stealth, avoiding its execution. We must have some precaution with Xtreme Online? The users must have well-taken care of not to flash the drive using the power supply of the unbann console. They should not play games before they leave the region. Thank you very much by your time. Something that to add? YES look for release this weekend.
