Hey I got a question now I do not know if this happens to anybody else but the status code on my friends xbox changed after it went from 5.3 to IXtreme firmware in the y section I do not know if microsoft logs this but it was different the next time he checked it it was so weird. If this happend to anyone else be warned it might be a log for M$.

 

I heard about someone's Y line changing from 20A8 - 4840 to 20AB - 4840 just before they were banned, but I don't know what the story in your friend's case.

 

Well, really i was to be expected! MS are working there butts off to find a check that distiguishes ixtreme.

Course theyl find one and course our hackers will make a new one!

And so the circle continues until they bring out the next next gen consoles!

 

Sorry if this is off topic but today I bought a core 360 from Target to replace my banned 360. I flashed it with IXtreme (thank God it had a MS28) and put everything back together. Before I EVEN TRIED to sign into Live, it told me that I had to update the console in order to be able to connect to live. I had no disk in the drive, was just going through initial boot process. Anyway, someHOW the 360 had the Spring Update already on the 360.

They can store updates somewhere on the 360, that doesn't require you to even connect to live.

Then again, maybe because I DID attach my banned 360's HDD that DID have the spring update, my HDD was just telling my 360 that it had a more updated Dash than the console did.

Weird...

 

Congrats Dude; Im looking into buying a core soon; i was gonna this week; but i decided to wait till my next paycheck (next fri) to come in and buy one.

Im debating if i wanna mod it or not; im seeing how the IXtreme is working pretty good so far; has anyone been banned w/ the ixtreme yet? (sry if i havent looked harder on the sites)

 

Yo WTF man how the hell hitachi(sry if i spell it wrong) aint gettting no love. All i see is bout samsing firmware wtf man. Come on No IX for Hitachi I cant offered another console Im stuck with this one. I dont got money to burn like dat.

last i read they are working on that, it just takes time. I suppose the people do and release the Samsung first for some reason. Lucky for me that is what i have. Not that another flashing will happen for me anyway.

The word is C4eva started on Samsungs. He's most familiar with them and focuses on them 1st. Samsung was the 1st drive with a public firmware released about a year ago. I just had a feeling then Samsung would always be the best drive to have. It looks like I was right, but I know you Hitachi owners don't want to hear that.

I'd log on right before you flash to ix just to make sure you haven't been banned yet.

 

i think you would be safe since they didn't log anything on your 360 since you were never online. you weren't ever online right? but if you go online before flash they might log that your firmware changes! so that is y they say out of the box flash should be safer.

i was online with xtreme 52 only before the spring update so im wondering if i should change to ixtreme or im logged?

 

that theory isnt true necessarily because i was online with x52 for the longest time (January 2007) and i just flashed over the other day and im still not banned.

To date (as far as I am aware) no-one seems to really know what's causing the bans. There are many theories floating around.

As I've said a few times already, I have a sammy drive with 4.2 firmware. Flashed long before I went anywhere near live (over 12 months). I've been on live for around a month now. I'm not banned yet and I don't intend to change my firmware. As someone else quoted "If it ain't broke."

 

Well I Got me another 360 (Not core)

I was going to buy a core sometime this week or next week; But I decided to go by this game shop that a friend owns and that i knew him from high school; he was selling this premium 360 for 220 but i ended up getting it for $180 w/out the HDD and Controllers that i didnt need a hdd anyway.

Now; I can confirm the drive is a sammy; not been modded or anything and im debating if i should just go ahead and flash it with IXtreme or just hold it off till i hear if its any good for the next few months.

also he states he only used it for like 4 or a few months and has no problems with it.

So Hell I got a good deal than paying over for a new console.

 

im still on live every day playing my backups and its all going fine so far

 

still on, still forzaring. Waited till official uk release date to blend in. Also not bothering to change my firmware. Not broke, don't fix it seems to be the generall feeling here.
