Hello, tried to post in a bannerbomb thread here but could not so opening a new one. Also, how do I load Game ISO's from SD cards? from within the HBC? I have a new WII serial LU725XXXXX, if I load the SoftMOD can I play backups right from the DVDrom? Thanks
Hiya! ^o^ Follow this guide for softmodding your console on firmware 4.2. As far as I'm aware you can't play backups from the DVD drive with the new consoles, but you can run them from a USB device. To do this follow this guide after softmodding your console to setup and run games from your HDD. Don't forget to leave a thanks in the threads so the author can see your appreciation and be sure to follow the guide properly all the way through! ^o^ Hope this helped!
I posted in that thread some errors I'm getting on the first step but have got no answer; Getting error downloading files; Grabbing tmd.257... Download Failed: tmd.257 - Reason: The remote name could not be resolved: 'nus.cdn.shop.wii.com' That guide seems waaaaay to long, to many steps. The above method can be done in 5 minutes.
Which particular step is that? o.0 Is that before or after preparing the SD card? o.0 I didn't have any problems with it, but maybe I can help if you tell me what you've done so far. I think Larry is getting a lil stressed with all the questions so I'll try and help you here and take some strain off him... lol
Here is where I'm stuck Start NUS Downloader (it is included in the SOFTMOD PACK). Make sure Microsoft .NET Framework has been installed on your PC. Tick the Box for -- Pack-> WAD Now go to Database>IOS>IOS15>v257 Then select Start NUS Download. This is where I get the message inside the NUS program; Grabbing tmd.257... Download Failed: tmd.257 - Reason: The remote name could not be resolved: 'nus.cdn.shop.wii.com' Can't even download the very first file I need v257
