basic XviD help..please...

    very basic questions...

    does an XviD play in home theater (mine is GE)?

    okay now the main part...
    i have 2 XviD parts of the same movie and i have 4 subtitle files 2 idx and 2 sub for each of the parts...can you please tell me how to code them into the xvid or how to play in my hometheter system with subtitles...

    i have vobSub but iam confused...

    Depends what you mean by XviD and what you mean by home theatre. Some standalone DVD players support some XviD avi's.

    Assuming that you have a regular DVD player, you would need to join the XviD (avi's?), re-encode the video to DVD compliant MPEG2, demux the audio if it is AC3, convert the subs into something that your DVD authoring app supports, then author the lot and lastly burn.

    the compression technic used for the 2 parts is divx...cant make out what kind of XviD files they are...

    what is the software used to join them....
    and how to get the subtitles in it....(software)
    i guess that is my main problem ...DVD comes later...

    If they are DivX then they aren't any kind of XviD.
    Joining depends on what container.
    Any DVD authoring app that supports subtitles, such as DVDLab Pro. That is unless you want to hard encode them.
