Basically Burner is LD..Read plz

    My burner is a *****.This thing wont burn anything! ALL it does is burn like 17% or so and say its successful WTF.Is there a upgrade,firmware ANYTHING I can do to fix this?


    Specs:Sony DVD RW DW-D22A

    It appears that this drive is actually a Lite-On drive that has been branded as a Sony drive. Sony does not have technical information on the drive. I read this information on another site. Here is a quote from the site:
    I am not familiar with the drive myself, but I did see another listing about it with the same information. I hope this information helps.

    if the firmware update doesn't fix the problem then the burner is shot.

    consider buying a Pioneer optical drive if thats the case

    Oh,well I dont think its toasted.Its still able to play DVD's Cd's.It just will NOT burn them,for anything.I also tried several of those ideas.

    Firmwares I mean,Still same prob persists.

    PS:This drive is a Piece of **** isnt it?...oh well **** Best buy lol

    Edit:Able to go to 5% with Nero,but then it just sits there.
