for now, im just playing the battlefield 2 demo and when i change the video settings to the highest and when i play it looks a lot better but it makes my pc run slower and the game doesn't run smooth. I have a XFX 6800 GT card, a Athlon XP +3000 and 512 mb PC2700. Is it because of the demo or do i need to upgrade anything? Could it be my power supply because im pretty sure its less than 400 watts?

can you try the demo in another computer compareable to yours. have you done a benchmark on your videocard. is the card an agp or pci/e??

Your card can handle the highest settings on BF2 but you will need at least 1 gig of memory for medium settings & you will need to have 2 gig for the highest settings , as this game is a resource whore ;)

First off make a folder for each program before downloading, Right click on the link, then click the bold text "[bold]download[/bold]" and save to said folder press ok to start download, once downloaded click the icon in the folder to start installation process, once installation is complete restart pc ..... right you should be restarted by now lol, shut down all not needed applications i.e messenger, anti virus, desktop image, disable internet connection, as these take up resources, next enter your nvidia setup menu and change AA to off, AF to off, and change to performance settings also change your screen resolution to 1024x768, all this is to obtain your maximum score , then click the 3dmark icon to start the test let it run and then it will give you your resulting score , nalso there is another benchmark called Sisoft Sandra 2004 which will test every part of your system and also tell you if there are any problems ;)
    opps forgot the link http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=177
