Having a bit of trouble booting my back up of this game. I have a DMS3 chip in a V5 PS2. To boot the original I must put my mod chip in sleep mode. But this wont boot the back up since, well its a back up.
It will go as far as the black screen that says playstation 2 but no farther (this is also the spot the original will not go past unless the chip is in sleep mode) I have read of others that have backed this game up with success, but they did not state the methods they used. Am I missing something with this game that I should know?

    *Edit*
Besides the fact that I spelled the name wrong :/

Well, I use the swap disk/slide card method on a V7, and it works fine. I backed up my copy with imation-R at 1x with dvd decrypter. That's my method and it works, just sometimes the map will be black for a second or two and sometimes the loading takes longer than the original. I don't know anything about your chip, so I can't help you. Sorry...

well its not the backup if the chip cant even read the original. there might be some complications with this game and chip but im not too sure.

Yea, thats kinda what I was leaning toward also. If anyone out there has had success with this game using a DMS3 chip please let me know.

Ok, got this all sorted out. An upgrade to the DMS2 chips firmware and all is good, the back up plays like a champ. I read that some of the DMS3 chips with v1.8 have this problem and by downloading the new DMS3 firmware it fixes the issues (also V1.8 but fixed).
