I bought DVDFab because I thought it did everything, copy, rip etc. Well when I found out that I bought the wrong product I asked for a refund....THEY DON'T GIVE REFUNDS !! so read the website carefully and make sure you get what you think you need. I bought a lifetime membership to DVD copy and bought it only to Rip DVD's to may hard drive in a different format. I admit I bought without knowing exactly what I was doing. I have asked that they at least exchange my lifetime subscription to the right product. So far DVDFab is very strict and doesn't have a very good customer service mission. To me I would think that if they were more customer friendly they would get more business just from word of mouth. I won't be too harsh on them yet because they may do the right thing and at least exchange my order to the right product, afterall the cost is the same. in fact the program I need is less expensive than the one I bought and I am willing to take a even exchange. I hope they do the right thing
Dvd Shrink has not been updated in years(newer dvds will be not be able to be copied) . Use DVD Copy to copy the disc your hard drive(in folder mode) then use AutoMKV to convert it to what ever format you want. AutoMKV will take a while to encode the files to a different format, but gives you a high quality copy.
Cause not all of them have been very good with Win 7, actualy 90% of my movies I already backed up using DVD Shrink so they have already been ripped. I could just copy the video folder to my hard drive couldn't I?, well that was a dumb question, I know I can cause I did the other night, the only problem is. when I put one of my back up disks in the drive the movie starts but looking at the files in the video folder I can't figure what file makes the movie start. I'd like to just copy the disks to my har drive and then just play them somehow, does anyone know what file the drive looks for to autoplay ??
Auto play dvd is set by windows it can be turned off,as for playing a video on the hdd my first choice is the first listed cyberlink powerdvd not free vlc free klite full free
When I have folders on my hard drive that I copied over from backups that were made with DVD Shrink that have Audio_TS (empty) VIDEO_TS with all the files how to I play them using a video player??
who said anything about a operators manual and what device are you referring to? You have a habit of posting replys that don't make sense
read what you wrote don't look like your talking about video players looks like computer..lol.. Edit: ok now operators manual will tell you what it can play however a video folder on the hdd will more than likely be seen as just a folder you will most probably have to manually start it edit 2:like a comp a vid player has settings to auto play a dvd disc a folder will not,it might show up in the menu as a folder or something
That was my whole point to my question in the first place, since I already ripped these DVD's with DVD Shrink I have the Audio_TS and Video_ts folders the video is the only one with anything in it. I was asking what file in the video folder do I use to start the movie, when I put the DVD in the drive it must look for a file to start. And Aldan you are just being a bumhole !!
try it while it's on the comps hdd to see which file it is, you will need to use the media players slider to make sure it plays all the movie & not just the first part
thank you so much for noticing.but ill let you get back to biting the hand that feeds you so to speak.
