Been out of the h/w setup for 6 years. Budget gaming laptops for Son

Hey folks, been out of the loop for a while now, since I built my desktop through here back in 2010 or early 2011 (cant remember, but I'm typing this on the exact same PC now LOL, still works perfectly)

Anyways, my younger son wants a "gaming laptop" for his birthday present and was hoping to get some advice. He really is leaning toward the laptop for portability reasons but I cant justify spending a grand on a new or used higher end laptop.

Wondering if you folks have any recommendations on what I can search for used, under 6 or 700 bucks. I do know he wants to be able to play GTA V , of course roblox, minecraft things with no lag like his current POS.

Im sure there are some other newer games he wants to get into as well, since we're leading into winter.

Any thoughts on what I can look for or in terms of minimim specs?
