Looks like a few people are trying to stand up to the Anheuser-Busch takeover. Personally, I don't like any company that is basically a monopoly, but this could really help Anheuser-Busch. I think their beer sucks and tastes like salt water. I don't understand how anyone can drink that stuff and think it tastes good. Back in my younger days when I didn't know any better and I didn't have much money for beer, yea it was the way to roll. But now I prefer a nice dark beer, or any Belgian beer. Call me what you want, but I want a beer that TASTE good and goes well with a really juicy steak. What are your thoughts on this? What kind of beer to you prefer to drink? http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,420741,00.html
I don't drink domestic beer either...never really cared for the watered down taste. Give me a Harp, Bass, Newcastle in the winter and Corona or Dos Equis in the summer.
I like Blue Moon, Killians Irish Red, Bass, and Duvell when i can find it, and a nice Dos Equis once in a while. Admittedely, i typically have Coors Light in the fridge as well.
Blue Moon! I love that stuff, but I started to hate it once I found out it was brewed by Coors - am I a beer snob? Duvel is also a very good beer, quite expensive though. I love the tasty malt flavor! What about Chimay? Have you guys ever tried that stuff? It's even more expensive then Duvel I beleive, but man that stuff will give you a wicked buzz. Here's some shots from the local market here in my town that has about every beer imaginable. They guarantee if they don't carry the beer you are looking for, then there's no possible way to get it in the states. BEER HEAVEN!
Yea, that's how I usually feel. It's pretty hard to pick out what you want, so I usually leave with a few different 6-packs. I was searching some Google images of beer and check out what I found. I got to get me one of those if they really exist. Brings new meaning to the term, "beer bong".
Well let me be the first in here to say.... I LOVED Budweiser...but now that they are a sell out to hell with them. ive been to there main distillary in St Louis a ton of times and when in the army in Virgina i lived in busch gardens in williamsburg Va. i have had plenty of dark beers from germany when the guys came back from over there... i dont care to much for them. tasted like tree bark..lol im not bashing the dark beers and such i just like Budweiser..well i did. now im on the boycott bandwagon. ill stick to the local made little kings.....now thats a beer....anyone heard of it? heres a little link to there home.... only 14 miles from my house http://www.beersince1933.com/hudepohl.htm
Nope, never heard of them. That Honey Almond they brew sounds pretty tasty. Ever heard of Live Oak or Fireman's Four? Those are just a couple of the local places around my side of town. http://www.liveoakbrewing.com/ http://realalebrewing.com/beer_styles.php
man whats up with all the texans all of a sudden... i think 1 GOOD SWIPE would clean them out....lol lmao... the liveoaks looks promiseing..but once again back to the tree bark i reffered too...lol just jokeing.... what about samuel addams? it is founded in boston but they are a local one here that is pretty big in the area... the place i used to work at (georgia pacific) we made the boxes for them. and they took us on a tour of the place downtown cincinnati. in certain areas of the factory there would be a inch of beer on the floor... man im getting thirsty...lol
C'mon cincy, the bark taste will put hair on your chest! Yea, Sam Adams is pretty big around here. They got a few ales that go great with steaks. Speaking of that, got any local breweries around your town that are also restaurants? If you guys ever make it out to Austin Texas, check out this place called North by Northwest - excellent beer and food! I recommend the Duckabish Amber or the Bavarian Hefeweizen. http://www.nxnwbrew.com/
I've got a nice brewery/resturant just a wee bit away in Chicago. Rock Bottom Brewery. Good beer, good food, good beer. Did i mention the beer? They've got one called Eric the Red that's very tasty! http://www.rockbottom.com/
Well it's half past four on a friday afternoon here, so definitely time for a beer i think! Cheers guys, i'm having an Amstel!
LOL, right. Hell, actually whenever you feel like it. It's always 5 o'clock somewhere right? MMMM, that Texas Fire Steak sounds good!
