Hello- I have a toshiba v3100 computer with usb 1.1 and windows xp. If I add a usb 2.0 card and the drivers (comes with drivers cd- but I think winxp has them) will it run devices at usb 2.0 or will it only run them at 1.1? Does the motherboard itself have to support the 2.0 to run at true 2.0? Thanks in advancefor any help.

It should run at USB 2.0 Shouldn't be a problem unless you MB is very old. Most will work just fine.

If you add the USB2.0 card, and have Windows XP Service Pack 1 isntalled, USB2.0 will work fine.

The USB ports on your motherboard currently will still only be 1.1, but the add-on card USB2.0 ports will be.

    Regards
