I know that there have been threads on this movie before, but I have a problem that i'm stumped on. I've backed up over 500 movies, but I have a problem here that DVDfab and anydvd cannot solve. When I backed up the Benchwarmers, the movie skips 57 minutes in and does not stop until the end. I know it's not my media, because when I play the ISO file it skips. I rented a copy to make sure if it was the DVD I bought, but that copy does it to. I'm doing the main movie only. Can anyone help. My DVDfab and anydvd are the newest versions. Thanks.
If it's skipping when you play the ISO file on the computer, why not rip another copy of the movie? Yes, the one you rented may have skipped at that same moment but that could have been just a coincidence. This happened with Curb Your Enthusiasm S5 D1 for me. The original I had skipped at one particular moment. I was watching the back up and it skipped too. Went back, ripped the movie again, still skipped. I exchanged that one disc for another, and voila, no more skipping.
Well i've tried two, the one I bought and the one I rented. They both skip when ripped but when I play the originals they don't. I don't want to keep wasting money renting copies of a disc I have if they won't copy.
I've been having the same problem with Benchwarmers. It's a good movie and I want to back it up. Mine stopped at the beginning of Chapter 18 (Pitcher in a Pinch) and wouldn't continue on. The regular disk works fine and it isn't scratched or anything. I'm trying DVD Decrypter + DVDShrink this time instead of DVDFab and seeing if there's a difference.
I had AnyDVD running in the background and riped with DVD Decrypter. (I know you can rip the DVD to HDD with AnyDVD but I always use DVD Decrypter) I did have the option in AnyDVD check to (remove anoying adverts and warnings) and had problems with the DVD. I then unchecked it so that option wasnt chossen and it backed up fine. So if you have that option in AnyDVD checked uncheck that option. I used DVD-RB to back up the DVD after ripping with DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD running in the background. Did a full backup of the movie with no problem.
