BenQ 1640 at Circuit City for 79.99. The 1620 Pro was marked down to 49.99. Almost as cheap as the Egg

    I got 2 benq 1620,s.

1500+ burns on my original one and 200+ on my spare.Still original firmware. 99% burn success. The most valuable aspect,is the compatability on many players. That book-typing feature comes in handy.1ST ONE PURCHASED AT $40,2ND AT $50.

catching up to me saugmon~ :) i think i will look into both you and aland's suggestion about the benq..i've been interested for awhile, since my friend uses a very old 4x benq all these years and it has yet to fail on him :)

are there any BIG differences between the 1640 and the 1620? i never owned a benq, but am willing to try :)

Hey kivory666, I couldn't find much about the benq 1640,but I believe it is a lightscribe. The 1625 has the same specs as the 1620,but also has the lightscribe feature.

ALAND, All the benq's I could locate at circuit city was the 1620. $49.99 after rebate. You got a link to their 1640?
