Im going to buy a Benq 1655 from Newegg. I dont know if i should buy the oem or retail. The oem is 54.99 Free shipping vs. Retail which is 62.99 and 4.89 shipping. The oem is a better deal its about $13 cheaper. however the retail comes with a box, manual, software and a blank dvd. Do i really need all that stuff? I dont know which one i should get? Thanks in advance to all that reply

First of all ... let me say that you've chosed a fine drive

Ok, ok ... I assume that you're replacing an existing drive ...

If you already have software to burn DVDs and CDs ... you know ... Nero/Sonic/Roxio ... you still need to be able to burn the labels ... If you're all set for software, get the OEM ... manuals can be had from BenQ on=line ...

And ... if you need LightScribe software ... well ... here's a link for a freebie
