I don't know how long this will last. Later. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827101006
Did you order one? I've been checking out newegg.com's benq drives for well over a year and a half. When they get a hot drive, they sell out quick.Seems like it takes forever to restock them, and bam-out of stock again. This goes for the Benq 1640-which spent more time being out of stock, than in stock. Also the 1620. Not so for the 1655. That drive has been in stock for a while. Still a great drive. I'd take it over my HP640c lightscribe anyday. When searching for another 1640-even Ebay had a ton of the 1655's. I've been seeing some impressive scans with the benq 1655.Sweet drive.A great buy for anyone that wants to try lightscribe media. The 1650 is the latest drive they got in. As usual,I'll keep my eye on them.
Nice deal...I might have to pick up another one of these since I think the one I have now has taken a crap...Thanks for the heads up. =)
For the extra $4.00 you get the software (Nero with Recode) a better deal in my opinion...At least that's what I got. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827101008
@ saugmon No I didn't. I just recently go a BenQ 1650 from Newegg for 37.00 and i just love it! Just burning down the house! Later
I got hosed. The 1650 wasn't available for sale in the usa when I was looking for another benq. The 1640 was very difficult to find. I ended up buying my 1650 through NCIX out of Canada. A little over $60 A week later, all the big stores had them on sale: Meritline was the first, and finally newegg got them in a few days later. What firmware version did yours come with?
@ saugmon Mine came with bcfc and it works great. Avg 97-98% burns consistently. I check NEWEGG almost daily when I'm "working" and it seems like they always have deals going on those babies! Next time I see one I'll give a shout out. Later
