My Xbox was originally one with a Hitachi drive (I think the 46 version), but I replaced it over a year ago with a Benq and spoofed it. All the questions I've been seeing about the Hitachi drives and Samsung drives are the opposite of my question: simply replacing their Benq with a Samsung. My question is since my Xbox thinks it is running with a Hitachi drive inside of it (even though it is a Benq drive), will it bypass the AP25 checks if it is one of the "older" Hitachi drives that aren't able to perform the check?

Just an update: I saw in a post that spoofed drives aren't safe in general now... I have since played NHL 11 online after updating to the new dash and my secdata is still clean. Any thoughts? Just lucky?
