I purchased a 1655 and installed the BCHB f/w. Everything appeared to be fine/smooth however it won't play a DvD without chopping it up. It skips quite a bit. I'm using Win DVD player with the drive and I backed the read speed all the way down to 4x with Nero 6.6.0.14 and it still skips. I'm a little skeptical about starting to burn as the drive isn't even playing a dvd correctly. This is the second BENQ that did this so I'm thinking I'm missing a setting or something somewhere. I had a 1650 OEM and sent it back and upgraded to the 1655. I checked several forums and didn't see a similar issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am a newbie so please go easy on me. LOL Thanks again

hi, pls post LAST section of your Nero log, which is in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log, but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar.

i've teleported the thread to the Nero forum.
