Hi, I just installed windows XP sp2 corporate edition after deciding windows 98 was pissing me off far too much. I backed up all my data onto 3 dvd+r. I had done this once before when I wiped my harddrive and had no problem copying the files off the dvd back onto my computer. From windows 98 to windows 98. Now after installing windows xp and trying to copy the files from dvd to my comp, it says the dvd cannot be read by windows. Is there a problem with windows xp reading a dvd burned on windows 98? What else can i do so i dont lose all my information? Thanks in advance.

    Wow, that's a tough one.

But you've posted your question in the wrong place, which may explain why you have no responses. This is for DVD recorders. Try the PC Hardware - DVD drives forum (more computer-related).

    Good luck.
