I am having trouble flashing my benQ drive and was looking for some help. I have a blaster 360 NE and connecting it to my PC via the onboard sata. When I boot up the flash drive and get to the point were I need to plug in the 360 the software freezes on 0xff. Any suggestion on how I can get past this and flash this drive?

my guess would be that your onboard sata is not compatible, did you make your boot device with iprep? i beleive the newest version is 008. from there when you select your sata controller it will tell you if the sata chipset is compatible or not. and make sure you have all drivers installed as well.

    Hi,
I used this tutorial http://www.urlblaze.com/viewtopic.php?p=577 to flash my 360. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if completing that tutorial is all i have to do before i start making backups of my games. Also there are so many different ways to backup your games. Does anyone have a good tutorial proven to work that a total noob would understand? Thanks. Hopefully someone can help me out.

Also on this tut http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/141037 the guy says your xbox has to be modded and also flashed. I only flashed mine so can i make backups and play them still w/o a modded 360. I have read so many things I don't know what to believe. As you can tell I am by no means a technology expert so all help is much appreciated.

if your console is flashed, then its modded. as for your mad dog burner, you could use it to make backups, but you would have to use the winxripper method (google it). but honestly, i would just spend the 50 bucks or so and buy the samsung drives that can be flashed with the kreon firmware. it is much easier, and a lot safer to use when it comes to properly stealth patching your games.

no problem and good luck. but you should seriously consider buying one of the kreon flashable drives though. its well worth the 50 bucks for it.

I purchased a kreon drive off ebay. Just wanted to know if this model-- Kreon - Samsung - SH-D163A - SH-D163B - SATA was compatible with the via vt6421 chipset.
