Hello, i have burnt 4 previous backups using the exact same setup with no probs. But when i try to burn fifa street 2 using dvd decrypter or nero it starts ok but a short way through stops and says how its failed to reconize the device. I use quality media (verbatim) and have varied the burn speed, with no luck. Here is the log for nero's attempt:

    Hello.

Edit your post (click the pencil/paper icon in the upper right of the post) and edit out the program serial number beginning 1C......

    Nero Version: 7.2.0.3
    Internal Version: 7, 2, 0, 3

I'd run the Nero 7 Clean Tool and Uninstall this version and then download and install version 7.0.8.2.

    7.0.8.2: http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845

I don't see any identification of the media in the log. This is usually a bad sign. Are you using good quality media like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or Made in Japan labeled Sony and Fuji media?

7.0.8.2 is a better version than what you currently have. I and many others still use 6.6.0.18.

It is very important to run the appropriate Clean Tool to uninstall an existing version before installing another version.

It appears as though you're burning an ISO image file. Why not just use DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn, both free, to burn the image file. Both are better burners imo than Nero anyway.

Try burning at 8X instead of 16X and see if that helps. It failed at the beginning of the burn.
