Trying to confirm which Monitor to get and was curious what others thought about which display would be best...Not a gamer but want a clear and bright monitor with small footprint and some flexibility (Adjustable, additional ports perhaps)...Was hoping to stay $350 and below.

Dell 2007WFP (Priciest at this point)

Viewsonic VX2025wm (No height adjustment, no audio output jack, CNET pick)

Viewsonic VP2030B (Pricier yet, bigger footprint)

Anything that I should additionally consider?

Yes indeed. The very same. What price did you find for it?

I got mine for $100 refurb. Best monitor ever :)

Never bought a refurb monitor before, a little hesitant to do so really (Figure deadpixels and general life is shortened).

I like that SCEPTRE X20G-Naga III Black 20.1" but not sure how it measures up against the Dell and Viewsonic as I can hardly find a review for it.

Like that it supports HDTV though.

Yes it does. Shopuld have a native resolution of 10280 x 1024. But it will handle just about any res without problems.

Sceptre Naga is the best. Ask anybody else and chances are, If they have heard of it, they will agree.

you want to consider the response time, brightness and contast ratios you can always buy a fully adjustable stand or braket later

    Here:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824112176

Enough to convince you? 8ms response, 800:1 ratios. It can do any resolution you can possibly power with any video card available...

Has a detachable panel and base too... if you plan on doing something different.

You looking to play games on this at all? If so, what video card do you have?

EDIT: Mine's a bit cheaper because I got a smaller 17" for just gaming and movies. It works great for me :)

    Response Times

    Dell - 16ms
    VP2030 - 8ms
    VX2025 - 8ms
    Sceptre - 8ms

    Contrast Ratio

    Dell - 800:1
    VP2030 - 1000:1
    VX2025 - 800:1
    Sceptre- 800:1

    Brightness

    Dell - 300
    VP2030 - 300
    VX2025 - 300
    Sceptre- 300

Yet, CNET ranked the VX2025 higher than the other Viewsonic and the Dell...They didn't rate the Sceptre, however.

The only gaming I'll be doing is FreeCell...I am going to be doing multimedia on my PC so I'd like it bright, clear etc.

Well... get the Sceptre... crystal clear picture... I wouldn't tell you to get it if I didn't think it was a good buy!

However, all those are also very good monitors... so I guess it's a matter of price or your personal taste...

Not one to fall into the 'sheep mentality' column but I am veering towards reliability/dependability & name recognition with the Dell.

Viewsonics were right there for me but reading all the reviews I could google, I think I am finding that the Dell seems the most complete overall.

I liked 'some' of the reviews I read on the Viewsonic but the lack of height adjustment was annoying...Some of the others talked about bleeds and video issues...The Sceptre simply has some bad reviews after 1 year of use and that has to be alarming although in the 1st year it appears to be universally liked.

Say what you will about Dell products, their monitors tend to hold up well...I had a 15inch, 1503FP, for 4 years and it ended up being as strong a picture from Day 1 until the day I tossed it on ebay.

It definitely looks like it's between Dell and Viewsonic, with the edge to Dell...I may go to the store to check on the Viewsonic again to get a comparison.

I agree. Dell definitely produces excellent monitors. If you don't think you want the Sceptre, then get the Dell.

Yah i bought the SCEPTRE X20G-Naga III monitor about 10 months ago and its great. It freakish how big it is(seeing how iv'e been using a crt 1024x768 forever)and how bright it gets. I was afraid that if i got a brand i never heard of there would be a bunch of dead pixels and id be returning it within a week. It turns out that 1 in every 2710 sceptre monitors sold, theres been a custumer complaint about a dead pixel problem. The lowest in any manufacturer producing lcds monitors. A dead pixel would irritate the hell out of me so i'd get a sceptre. Second choice id get the viewsonic. The company i work for is loaded with thousands of them and there reliable. I would not get a dell. They have a good name as far as there desktops but there laptops and lcd monitors have major power failures. Your lcd will get dimmer and dimmer till you can barely see it. They also have one of the highest dead pixels per product ratio. The real pain is that the product usually dies right when the warranty is up. If i were you id get the SCEPTRE X20G-Naga III its cheap, reliable, and if you ever watch a high definition video its almost hypnotic
