I saved 3 different slideshows to mpeg-2 (no audio) just because I thought that would be the format that would be the easiest and fastest to combine and then convert to DVD without taking up a huge amount of HD space like AVI or DV. The bloatware all in one movie makers seem to want to rescan then reconvert everything back to mpeg-2 when combining the 3 mpeg-2 files to one continuous mpeg-2 file and it's taking forever. (I want one continuous MPEG-2 file to edit in some audio. Is there any easy and fast way to combine mpeg-2 slideshow files together? thx. Also even though there's no audio, there is still an audio track, would it be best to demux these MPEG-2 files to M2V before adding in the audio?
anyone know anything about this software, Media Join. http://www.download.com/MediaJoin/3000-2169_4-10364435.html
the only programs I use to edit mpegs/join mpegs is videoredo and womble mpeg video wizard. The reason is both finish the projects without reencoding. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a project to finish saving to file. The finish project looks the same as the original, no loss of quality. Videoredo is a pure editer, doesn't do transitions/titles etc it is rock solid never had any problems with it crashing. Womble mpeg video wizard does the editing/ seperate audio tracks/ transitions / titles and will output your project into a compliant dvd (video_ts/audio_ts type). I mainly use videoredo because it has a larger video window to monitor your editing and the editing controls are more well layout. Once you try these programs you won't want to go back to the other editers that encode the entire video, taking hours to do what these programs can do in minutes.
