Your posting in the wrong section. Post here http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/166 and prepare for a stew of answers.

You didnt post your operating system. Not all programs will operate on Vista.

As for myself I like free. I have never paid for anti anything and I do manage to keep my systems free on all 6 computers here.

    Heres what i use:

CCLEANER ran first using the cleaner button

AntiVirus --> AVG ... i use to use Avast! but they werent keeping up.
*uninstall all antivirus before installing another. System should only have one installed at one time.

AntiSpyware for Vista---> Ad-Aware, emco malware distroyer, spyware terminator, Spybot Spyware Blaster, McAfee site advicer, and Windows defender (will come with OS).

AntiSpyware for XP---> Ad-Aware, emco malware distroyer, spyware terminator, Spybt Spyware Blaster, McAfee site advicer, Spybot Search and Distroy and SuperAntispyware

then i run CCleaner again but using the Registry button

All found for free at www.snapfiles.com

look for software saying freeware and stating your operating system

    hope this helps

don't need the key if you select the free version when installing the program. the free icon is just to the right where you input the key #.
