   Please help... what is the best freeware audio editing program out there that will eliminate hiss and pop from old albums? Want to connect turntable to sound card and get to all my good old stuff.

   IIRC, Exact Audio Copy's wave editor can do both. Another good free wave editor is Audacity. If you're able to do the whole job in 30 days you can use Cool Edit Pro trial version.
