    Hi all.
I have a sony blu-ray player hooked up to a Yamaha htr-5890(older receiver) through an optical cable (and hdmi cable from blu-ray player strait to tv,so i usually mute the volume on the tv when i play blu-ray).the sound is decent(7 B&W speakers),but i know i'm not getting all what's on the BD,dts hd or master or....
I believe with optical i'm only getting dts or 5.1 dolby.
i'm looking to buy a new receiver that plays all of these through HDMI but affordable.
i looked at this ONKYO TX-SR508 7.1(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882120165) but it seems like a toy compared to the sound my current receiver produces.and then "passthrough hdmi"(as i understand that passthrough weakens both signals...).
    any suggestions?
    thanks a bunch.

I think Sony Google Tv is a perfect combination of blu-ray and internet.
