Dag nabit, no sense bringing in extra media, for me to trash, because I am having too much fun with the TY!!!

That's why Memorex, was mentioned...cause it's the best! LOL!!!

That's cause it sells more than TY...! Seriously, I can see how much you all are in denial that Memorex is the best, tell you what...I will put you and your family down for 2 spindles, just to show that I am a nice guy!

Honestly, if you embrace the Memorex, it will be good!

(and I know you are going to have fun with that little comment, so I await it!)

    ;)

    LMAO!!!

    ;)

*whispers quietly to erik1213, "Don't listen to jim, he doesn't know what he is talking about...buy some memorex's, you won't be disappointed."*

    LMAO!!!

All I know is that for burning games, Verbatim sucks complete ass. The thing would skip like a man on crack having a seizure. Anyways I recopyed the game to a Memorex (yes a Memorex!) and it works beatifully. I also burned The Incredibles to a Memorex and it works great.
    MEMOREX! MEMOREX! MEMOREX 4 LYFE!

    @erik1213,
You can pretty much read all over this forum and you will find the results overwelmming in favor of Taiyo Yuden DVD's being the best. It isn't just one or two people saying this but hundreds. Now you can also look up Memorex and see that the results over overwhelming of how poor and inferior that media is to any other media.
It is totally mind boggaling to me how someone can reccomend Memorex at all. I can and do see people have good results with Memorex, but to recomend to someone to buy it is just plain ridiculous. I to had good results with Memorex, or so I thought until I tried to play them 6 month later just to find out they were skiping, jumping and some of them wouldn't even play anymore. So I make it a point to stay as far away from them as possible.

So to the original question you could go with this. These are from personal experiance's

    Buying Online
Taiyo Yuden (genuine TY’s there are fakes out there so beware)
Ritek G04 brand these would be the x4 disks again beware of fakes
Prodisc 2nd class media, but newer media x8 seems to work well for people

Buying at the store (Best Buy, Office Depot, Wal-Mart ect.)
Fuji film – Manufactured by Taiyo Yuden, MCC, Ricoh Japan, Prodisc, Fuji Film all fairly good manufacturers
Maxell – Manufactured by Maxwell, Ritek, RicohJapan, Taiyo Yuden
TDK – Manufactured by TDK, Ritek, RicohJapan, Maxwell, MCC, CMC Beware of the CMC brand
Verbatim – MCC, CMC, TY, RicohJapan, Ritek again beware of CMC which it seems Verbatim is using more frequently lately.

Note: A good rule of thumb when purchasing your media in the store is to look for “made in Japan or Singapore” stay away from “made in Taiwan or Hong Kong” When buying online always try and get “Branded” media this way you can be sure you are getting the genuine article. There is an exception to that rule and it would be Taiyo Yuden disks. You just need to buy from a reputable dealer when buying online. Here are a few I have bought from with good experience. Of course it isn’t going to be the same for everyone.

Supermediastore.com – Rated number 1 just about anywhere you look.
Rima.com – Fast and cheap good service
Mertline.com – Little slower on shipping, but quality media

Ones you should stay clear of
Shop4tech.com – Let’s just say you get what you pay for.. I received fake TY’s from them

finally a straight answer, thank you very much bbmayo

looking back over the forum, i do see a lot of TY praises, i guess i just got overwhelmed with needing an answer and got tired of all the pointless arguing.

[bold]Everyone's opinion is their own stop trying to change people's mind to agree with yours.[/bold]

Zenith DVD/VCR Combo, it's a little over a year old.

I'm not too concerned though with playback because every successful burn i've ever had with and type of media has played just fine, i just need to be sure that it burns with little to no errors, not like the prodisc's i just purchased which i have had 0/9 successful burns.

okay well i just purchased Ritek G05 White Inkjet Hub Printable's from meritline.com(TY's are too expensive for me right now), but they come with a 60 money back guarentee, so if i don't like them, i'll just get my money back.

I would have purchased from supermediastore, but they only had 100 pack available for Hub printables, so i had to choose meritline.

erik1213,I was trying to help you, but since you gave me this link, I thought you were in the UK.

    http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=cmVsZWFzZWFyZWE=

So I didnt give you any online or offline store names, for the states.
Looking back now, I see that you earlier stated, that you had bought from supermediastore.

As bilbo said earlier we werent fighting at all, as you should be able to tell, by the smiley faces and LOL's and LMAO's
That being said, bbmayo gave you good advice, hes one of the best on here.
Good luck with your riteks, meritline is a good store, as is supermediastore, they are the only ones I use.
