This Sony drive uses the BenQ usually:

This Pioneer drive is probably made by Asus:

Seriously, the BenQ and NEC drives at Newegg are better deals. The reason I recommend BenQ and NEC burners is because there are lots of users, hacked firmware, and firmware updates. Can you get someone else to order for you and give them the cash upfront.

Otherwise I'd probably go with the Sony above. You might want to wait until Sunday to see of any of the stores have a sale. Sometimes the office supply stores get down to $40 for their off brands which are sometimes NECs and BenQs and Liteons.

I didn't recommend Liteon because I've had poor luck with them. Others haven't and swear by them over all others.

Jesus, don't you have an ATM debit card? Anyway, NEC, Plextor, BenQ. Those are the guys to stick with. Best Buy sells some Plextor, so maybe check into those. BB does also sell some Sony drives that are re-badged, you can go with those in a pinch.
