Been though hell today. Boot edup my computer and try to acess my D drive (slave) wasnt able to acess any files. Rebooted the computer Drive wasnt anywhere. So i figured the IDe may have gotten loose. Rebooted and when in the BIOS notice that the drive renamed itself. I have 3 Western Digital Drives. All are supoose to named WDC- WXXX So I go under device manager and my drive was name UDA-XXXX which I found strange. SO I restarted once again. Checked out the event logger and it was showing errors with the IDE controllers. Decide to uninstall the Primary and Secondary IDE controller noticed that the Primary was in PIO mode but apperantly that was due to the controller problems (something about once it errors out 6 times windows steps it down). So I restart once again. DMA is enabled and Windows recogizes the letter the drive was asigned to but the drive has the generic Local Drive name and Windows sees it as being unformatted (raw) . So I go under manage and try some thingd there but nothing. So I restart and checkdisk see the drive and the name (BETA) it assigned with, but disk stops saying MTF is corrupted. I google this and this seems to be a BIG problem. Try the only 2 ways to correct this and it still doesnt work. Ran a surface test on it using Partition Table Doctor and WD diagonostic tools and the intergrity of the drive is good just the MTF had gone to hell. Does anyone know of a way to fix this or tools needed to recover the data. Thanks

I suggest you use data recovery software to recover files. You can try EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard Download demo version: http://www.easeus.com/download.htm You can use "AdvancedRecovery" to scan your corrupted partition. After the scan is complete, the lost file will be displayed in Data Recovery Wizard, you can select them and recover them.
