I am new to this and am trying to get a handle on which software I should purchase.

I would like to be able to capture video from my analog camcorder and edit out the video that's not very good or important.

I have a haupauge 150 tuner card (captures in mgp) and a samsung stand alone player/recorder that records in either VRO or VOB format.

I am trying to "capture" these files using ulead movie factory 3 that came with my haupauge. I am able to capture the video fine but get an error message that movie factory 3 does not support dolby digital audio - and after capturing I have no sound. I had sound before I captured in Ulead.

I also downloaded the trial version of Ulead video studio 9 and aain was able to capture the video fine, but after capturing it had no sound. I'm not sure if that's just the trial version or not.

Anyway what I'm doing should be pretty simple if I had the right software and knew how to use it. Using either the haupauge tuner or the samsung stand alone the output is fine with video and audio. But when I try to bring it into Ulead for editing I have no audio.

Thanks for any help, suggestions, or advice you might have. Thansk, Denny

Might be more helpful to others if we knew which thread you meant. Thanks.
