    Hi,
I was wondering what the best software (still under $75) that is good to edit and create home DVD's. I have long movie clips that combine usually to around 2.1GB of space and I want to put them to a video DVD where I create the menu's, put in music, etc... So I would need a program that has a good compression rate, and allows for a variety of different file types.(.mpeg,.mpg,.avi) This would allow me to put my movie clips onto a DVD with music, menus, and a good compression rate to allow 2.1 GB of movie data onto one 4.7GB disc.(SL) So do you guys have any sugestions? Is Easy Media Creator 8 a good program? More info at http://www.roxio.com/en/products/emc/index.jhtml if you need to refresh.
    Thanks,
    Peppers

and does it do all the things that I listed, does it have a good compression rate and does it allow 2.1GB of video content onto one 4.7GB disc on video format?
    Thanks

do you know how much media you can fit onto one DVD. Like 2.1 GB of home video onto a dvd. Does it keep a good quality in your picture or does it degrade the picture a lot to save space?

do you know how much space your videos took up?(MB, or GB) in just raw data, before it was converted over to a video type format.

Sorry it took me a little longer then I thought in the process of moving I'm not sure the final size was 2.86GB off of a 90min video tape
