I was wondering if anyone could give me a recommendation for a DvD Recorder // VHS Combo, set top box for my TV.

I mainly wanna do 2 things with it, I wanna take stuff from my DVR and put it on a DVD. And second I wanna take VHS tapes and convert them to DVD's.

So I would like anyone that has personally experienced a perticular DVD Recorder or has lots of knowledge about DVD Recorder // VHS Combo Set top boxs.

I would like to get it locally from either Walmart // Bestbuy // Circuitcity, so if you could recommend the best one I could get locally that wont mess up and of good quality.

Here are the links for DVD Recorder - VHS Combo

Or even the best just DVD Recorder set top box would also be a start, anything possible that you can tell me

    Very much appreciated. Storm

I've had a Panasonic DMR-EH75V, VHS-DVD combo recorder w/hard drive for about 6 months now and I absolutely love it. I've copied many old VCR's to DVD succesfully with no hitches and have recorded lots of programs off the TV and copied to DVD with no problems. It has a great formating program which formats the DVD's so they will play on other DVD players as well. It is simply an awesome machine. You can actually copy a VCR to its HD and edit the commercials, or whatever, out of it and then copy it to DVD. And much more. Supports most all DVD formats including DVD-RAM (plays DL -R,+R but will not record to DL disks). I haven't tried any of the others out there so I can't comment on them except that from what I've reserched , there aren't to many that will do all that this one will do.

    Good luck.
