   Kinda depends.
   
   Sony=great drive at a substantial price(8MB Cache)
   Pioneer=great drve at a reasonable price(2MB Cache)
   Lite-On=good drive at a great price(2MB Cache)
   
   I have a couple Pioneers and a Lite-On and love them all.
