The "best" drives are a matter of who you ask. Drives from Pioneer, Plextor and Lite On are my favorites and Ritek G04 or G05 media is quite good.
The Pioneer 107 is touted as a favourite burner. Personally mine would be put to better use as a door stop!!! Ritek G04's are good media but having said that you will find people who have problems with them. You probably would have been as well asking "what came first? the chicken or the egg?" All I would recommend is reading the reviews online and buying from a reputable dealer and a recognised manufacturer. For the discs, you get what you pay for! I buy Ritek G04's and never have a problem with them! I tried cheaper discs, but ended up putting them all in the bin. At this point we go back to the chicken and egg discussion, as some people will swear by the cheaper discs. Its all about experimenting! Once you have made your decision (no-one here is going to do that for you..lol) and if you are unlucky enough to have problems (99% of beginners do..lol) you will get all the help you need here to make things better>
You're a real retard for saying that here. Your software must really suck since you're too cheap to buy ad space here. Stay on the street corner where scammers belong.
