Does anyone know any good external drives out there? (preferably under 150). Can any1 tell me some heads up before i purchase it or what should i look for?
Hey there, Just from experience.....I bought a Plextor px716uf for $180 about 8 months ago and has been a very good machine. It has firewire and usb conections, I do believe the come in different colors. The burner is very fast with smart burn technology and lots of firmware upgrades on the plextor website. Happy shopping
In any case just do it yourself. You can choose what you want and install it in an external case such as a bytecc external case for $30 delivered from Newegg.com. Choose the HDD or your favorite burner and go from there. Example: Bytecc case and BenQ1640 burner together for $75 Bytecc case and Maxtor 250GB Ultra for $130
I was referring to HDD. I read from a different source that i should look out for overheating and rotational speed (the more the faster?).
