I've seen a few I want,but can't decide which one to get? Can someone who knows external HD's please list some of the best. Thanks
I stick with maxtor. They are quiet and if they do go wrong the RMA is very straight forward with quick turnaround. make sure you get dual Firewire and USB. Firewire is quicker than USB due to the way the data is handled in transfer, I've also seen more drives have USB to IDE controller failures than any other problem, so having the Firewire as an alternative wy to extract data has been invaluable. P.S. Its hard to recommend a model when you haven't said what your budget is and what capacity you are looking for.
