So I decided I am going to flash my old Elite box which has a 93450c drive.

I've been doing a lot of research and it's becoming somewhat overwhelming...one thread says cut 2 traces, another says cut 3, another thread's comments say the thread is outdated but doesn't link to updated one, etc...Can someone point me in the direction of a successful, up-to-date tutorial? Or tell me if the ones I've mentioned below are okay? Thank you.

I'm trying to go the homemade route, using the 360 as a power source...

Method 1: I'm assuming this was done using the MRA or Boxxdr hack. This person mentioned they completed it without soldering to the PCB. Still requires trace cuts, no soldering (maybe), no probe, need a switch.

Method 2: Still need to build my own probe, would require trace cuts, no soldering to PCB.

    DIY Probe

Method 3: This is the thread that people mentioned was outdated; it looks very easy to build the probe though.

    Awesome! Thanks!

Now I just have to find a capacitor...any specific ideas of where to get the needed capacitor? Don't have an old xbox mobo, checked an old switch and a cd burner...nothing. Everything says 16v.
