Alright, I am tired of the dumb Norton 2006 and useless AVG. I still got that AZ problem with AdultFriendFinder.

What are "free" internet security and anti virus/spyware/adware programs available for download?

    Thanks.

Well, in case you didn't know. If you are running two different AV programs at the same time, there will be false positives. Before you download another AV make sure to completely remove the first two from your system.

I like Avast. It is free and very reliable. Of course if you want to spend money you could purchase TrendMicro Internet Security or Panda Scan Internet Security. There is also the Avast Pro edition.

I know that trendmicro.com is great for scanning online, you might try that one if you desire to spend money. I don't want to tell you what is best, because everyone has a different opinion. Just make sure to clean your system before you put on another AV.

wouldn't call AVG useless. i find it be one of the best anti virus software available.

as for spy ware removal, i use Ad-Aware SE Pro. Does the job well. AVG+AD-Aware + using Firefox = no virus probs. (in my case at least)
