Hi, i have been burning xbox games and found that the ones i put on my bulkpak +RW ones play fine but the min i burn to a datawrite -R disk it wont play! i have burnt previous games for another xbox i had but cant remember what type of disks i used. All my disk are currently datawrite, either grey, red and printable and all are -R. Do +R play better or is a different brand the way to go?
any advise welcome as ive made 13 unplayable disks today alone and dont want to waste anymore.
    cheers

Have you tried scanning these failures? They are probably full of errors which the xbox is choking on. Personally I stick with quality discs like Taiyo Yuden, but if they scan good I am willing to burn other brands.

you will never get a strait answer on the best media, because like PS2 each drive seems to like different discs.
I have used Philips 8X DVD-R for a few years and they have not failed me yet.
Taiyo Yuden are said to be the very best
    Verbatim are also very good
Sony Or Maxcell if they are made in Japan should also work.
