    Hi pstamer
I would recommend Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden (in store Taiyo look for made in japan only Sony or Fuji - usually 8x). Those 2 are very compatible with the different burners.
Another suggestion is to make sure your drive's(burner) firmware is update to date. This will help your drive w/ the read/write strategies of media.

Thanx binkie7. My firmware is up to date. I have an LG Super Multi with lightscribe. I will look around for the Taiyo Yuden discs. Much thanx.

    No problem pstamer
Verbatims are usually easier to find in store. The Sony & Fuji mij 8x are usually made Taiyo.
You can also buy them online - if you need help finding them just post back where you located - someone here should be able to point you in the right direction.

    Well then you're in luck!
I use http://supermediastore.com to buy genuine Taiyo Yuden.
Much easier and cuts the quess work out of who the actual manufacturer is.

I agree, these are the two best brands of blank media IMO.

Actually, I've got one more question. What's the difference between dvdr+ and dvdr-; and which one is better? Thanx for all guys.

Ah the - or + question!
+R is said to be superior - the one difference is it can be booktyped to make the disc appear to be a DVD-Rom - making it almost universally compatible with DVD players. Your burner would need to support booktyping. Some LG's do. You would need to check your model though.

-R is cheaper online and has a higher compatiblity w/ dvd players than +R (non booktyped).

I use both - mainly -R because I usually buy online and I also use the inkjet printable (cheaper).
