i dont know how to solder, which is the best modchip to get for my xbox that is solderless? let me knowt hanks
it's hard to beat the Xecuter X3ce but the Xapt3r (or any solderless adapter) has issues so I'd recommend soldering the chip in instead. if you can't do it yourself you can have a pro install it for the price you'd pay for the Xapt3r. kc
You have to find someone that does. It wont be cheap. All anyone needs to do have to do is learn how to do what they want. Some online stores will also do it for you.
Installing a modd chip is pretty easy if you have a XBOX 1.0- 1.5!! 1.6 and above takes a little more tallent!
Most Modders charge less then $40 to install a chip, flash it, install the new harddrive (that you provided) and setup everything correctly for you, i hardly see how anyone can say that isn't cheap. flashing the chip is rather easy, the only concern is that you are flashing the correct BIOS. kc
where would i find someone to do it for $40? but if i stick around here and ask a few q's i think i could do it myself how do i tell what gen of xbox i have? pm me please
@evilwins Goto page 5 of this tut to figure out what ver. xbox you have. http://www.xbox-modchips.com/xenium/iceguide.pdf
If i remember rightly cnet have a picture by picture and text on how to replace the xpox 1 hdd or at the minmum how to open it up,there is one for the 360 also tho they only show how to open it up
It's a solderless mod chip, for future reference when you see an item written and you want to know what it is ,just open another tab and type it in the search box or if that does'nt give results and as an example without the quote marks "what is xenium gold sp" ,it'll become second nature it's just a matter of remembering that google is your friend...lol...
