OK so a few days ago, I purchased a USBextreme thinking I could have the convenience of playing imported games without breaking open my ps2 and voiding the warranty. BIG MISTAKE. Half my games don't work and the ones that do work have HORRIBLE fmv stuttering. So right now I am trying to find a way to get some kind of exploit or software working so I can play unoriginal DVDs. I have tried downloading a copy of Swap magic 3.6 but it can only go to the splash screen and then blacks out after that (I hear I needed to edit the system.cnf file somehow--help on this greatly appreciated). I can get uLaunchELF working but I dont know which exploit or software runs off ELFs. So tell me, what should I do from now to be able to run unoriginal DVDs? I totally regret not buying swap magic instead of this usbextreme btw my ps2 is a slim version
Well first of all it was stupid buying usb extreme with out reading about it, however do you have any friends with swap magic
if you can get uluanch loaded store a dvdloader.elf or cogswap.elf on whichever storage system you want to use and swap the disks with a knife just like the slide tool and boot it up see if that works
