    Theres no best and my preferance for torrents is Azureus. You have to be extrememly carefull nowadays downloading music or movies via certain p2p clients. If you do download music I highly recommend newsgroups or torrnet ONLY and I would not upload or share music or movies. This is the safest route for now....

    Yes and you can download from newsgroups as well. Call your ISP to get your news server addy and look for a program called NewsBin Pro. Do not upload music or movies via newsgroups.

    Grins, I download 4.5 megs per sec on newsgroups. :) This is my max download speed and yes, Newsgroups is kung fu fighting downloading fast as lighting because you download directly from your server. :)

    Shoey,

    Although I pretty much download at my max for torrents (9 mbit) at home, Im still interested in newsgroups. Also here at school, when I send something on AIM via the LAN it goes at about 4-6 MB/s so im definetely interested in newsgroups. What exactly do I ask my ISP when I call them?
    thanks in advance.

    You ask for the news server address.
    Example:
    Adelphia= news.adelphia.net
    Verizon= news.verizon.net

    PM me for the program. :)
    I'll post a snapshot so you can see how fast I download via newsgroups. At present my max download is 4.5 gigs a second.

    All depends on what program you use to download via newsgroups. There "may" be some free programs out there where you can download from newsgroups... I use NewsBin Pro and its not free.
