I am trying to be creative with my calender this year so I came up with an idea to put my faimily faces on famous bodies but which software is the best for this. I trying to keep the cost low but still get a quality calender. which software will transpose a picture onto another person. thanks for the help.
Basically every image manipulation software can do this, but I prefer photoshop. You will do just fine with the cheaper version of photoshop (elements). Or you could try a free software called gimp, it has all the functions you need. Now the next thing is that you'll have to find out how to exactly do what you want to do Layers and eraser are the best way to go.
thanks for the help. before I spend the money where do I get the software gimp?. I take it that everything will be explained with layers and erasers. thanks
Here: http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html You'll have to install gimp and that gtk+ 2 runtime above it, without gtk it won't run. Working with eraser and layers is the most basic way to go. thanks for your help about gimp. is there a easier way to learn how to use it. It is so confusing. all I want to do is take a little picture and put it on another person's face. I tried looking at the docs. for it but it is so confusing. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks
for a noob to do something this complicated in the GIMP is astounding, you should start small and work your way up, i have been using the GIMP for a while now and am pretty experienced with it so you should try opening the file, clicking the lassoo tool and selecting the face, open up the other image and paste the selected image onto that... hope this helps, hard to explain without pictures as aid...
I got that far in Gimp. One figure head is larger than the other so how do I reduce the large head to fit into the small head or is it easier to increase the size of the small one to the large one then shrink the finish product into the photo. I tried to magnify but the whole picture get reduce. thanks for the help.
this is exactly what i am talking about.... an operation like this in the GIMP is difficult to explain but i will try... as far as i know there is no real way of resizing something inside the gimp other than pasting it onto a new document and resizing the entire document, then copying it from the resized document to the document where you want the head to go and removing the excess colour... its really easier than it sounds... hope this helps...
I will give it a shot. so far I am a little frustrated but will play with it. thanks. any ideas will greatly be appreciated.
Do you have idea on making a two photos the same size pixels. I have been experimenting with print shop with enlarging the photos then saving but when to Gimp they are the same size. I am having moderate success in my task but it is a challenge but the problem is getting both photos the same size pixels. Any suggestions? Thanks Happy Holidays!!
