Best place to buy notebook cd/rw burner in Canada?

    Hi there...

My CD/RW burner/DVD-ROM in my Dell Inspiron 8200 died a while ago and I'd like to replace it. I've discovered that walk-in outlet stores certainly aren't the best place to find one. I also don't want to buy an overpriced Dell drive.

I haven't had to shop for notebook accessories before. Where to go in Canada to find a fairly priced drive??

    Thanks...

find out who made your old drive like toshiba or whatever than get in contact with that manufacturer to see if can buy from them or the nearest authorized dealer

Yeah, it's a Toshiba: and I don't want another Toshiba. I just thought that there may be an online factory outlet for things like this that I simply haven't heard of. Perhaps it's a strange request? It seems a bit laborious to contact the manufacturer directly to buy a drive.

    Thanks for the reply!
