OK, I'll "third" that motion: SMRPG is one of the most fantastic rpgs ever! Of course, the presence of kick-a** minigames helps, too.
    Brave Fencer Musashi rules, too.

I'm probably going to get laughed off the face of the earth for this, but I liked Secret of Evermore.

Right on, Alpha. Just make sure you get into the original SMRPG for the SNES. It's definitely got the depth, content, and storyline that the follow ups didn't.

I'm behind you guys on Vagrant Story 100%, too.

What was that follow-up game for the psx that had the same play mechanics as brave fencer musashi? Threads of Fate? That one was alright, too.

I still think that Final Fantasy VII is the best, but Chrono Trigger, Chrono Chross(Doesn't work on Custom Firmware), Valkyrie Profile, Star Ocean 2, Final Fantasy 8 and 9, Legend of Dragoon, and Super Mario RPG are all great too.

No, but I'll assume that you're giving it your thumbs up? I'll give it a go.

I've gotta say, folks: Ocarina of Time was a certified face-melter. I love it.

Im sticking it on my PSP while im going on my trip, 11hrs both ways, should give me somthing to do.

While their not Turn Based RPGs, Im certian that Castlevania deserves some recginition. Good combat and great story.

While Im on the topic of GBA, What about Golden Sun?

I got into golden sun when the GBAs were in their prime, and I wasn't exactly bowled over by it. It's a semi-solid random encounter-turn-based battle RPG, but it's too similar to any other of the genre without standing out. Sort of like the Nickelback/Puddle of Mud/Creed of RPGs.
