I too have done hundreds of movies. Ripping with shrink or dvd fab. Then converting to avi with auto gk. I have only run into 3 or 4 that had audio sync problems that I could not solve, either by trying different ripping software and or avi conversion software.
I have run into a couple that were out of sync due to the conversion. Those I leave ripped and use a vob file joiner program. 3 or 4 on my server at normal size is not a big deal.

I needed fast converting times with best quality, I didnt care what format. I Checked out many different DVDto??? converters and then came across "WinAVI All in One Converter", all I can say is BLOODY EL!. Heres the results....

Shrek3 Full DVD - Main movie only:

    RESULTS:

MP-4/Custom Size output=850mb/ 13min to make file 4/5 for quality

    xVid Encoder/ Custom output file size=1.5gig/ 21min - 5/5 for quality

AVI Constant Size, xVid / 1500mb - 21min No-Loss (Non that I can see anyway!)

    constant output size/ 2500gig size/mpg2/ 10min - No Loss

I used to use Fairuse Wizard but thats fallen by the wayside now.

I use the HD Decrypter feature of DVDFab to get rid of encryption, then Handbrake to rip the DVD to M4V (newer than AVI). Totally freeware, and result is flawless.

I'm not being nice .. at least I have been having fun killing off people using my scripts ;) .. they never realise these script kiddies that I always have a backdoor through a sql injection to draw out the bots ip (grins)

    happy new year guys

can't be bothered helping with the ripping problem.. I never have any problems at all since I learned how dvd's and copy proofing really works.. people who search will find my 9 months solid work posted out there in the wild.
