H&B DX-3220 propably with 800x600/75Hz VGA output and 5.1 audio decoder, also it's got the newest Mediatek 1389DE chipset. Subtitles don't work yet though.
Get the Yamada 6600, do a search for it, it does everything the 6000/6100 does and a few other little things, but the 6600 looks good too.
Did just look at Google - Yamada 6600 & the only differences are : • Global motion compensation (GMC) • Quarter pixel accurate motion compensation (Q-PEL)
And both of those features arent really relevant for everyday use. I personally would get, if you are using a HDTV or Projector/Plasma/LCD and player tha supports these formats and Progressive scanning. This is only really applicable to those who wish for line doubling and higher quality with a HDTV.
oh no, i just ordered mine earlier, i thought that this had progressive scanning??? Does it really matter?
ye . i chked out the 6600 too... but wat id realy want is all ur comments on the kiss 500/508 and other kiss products..ver y innovative i think ..wat do ya feel . .especially the wireless ethernet part..
Gaz it only matters if you have a HDTV. It can increase the number of lines and usually tehrefore the quality. I use a P-scan unit with my Projector. Amazing results.
Good. I didnt want to send it back. I dont think that i will ever use progressive scanning, not for a few good years anyway. So, do you think that i made a good choice in standalone players?
Yeah it is a great player, the specification are pretty good. For me its just lacking two things: 1). Progressive scanning capabilities 2). Component Video Out But as mentioned before, this is for me being picky, but its great for what you need it for.
lol - its a nice PS2 so i guess he is entitled to. ;-) and anyway, the Progressive scan unit in it is only for NTSC if im not mistaken, a bit like the Pioneer DV565.
herbsman, whats your ps2 like? Modded in what way, internally or externally, ive always wanted to put neons on my PS2.
